Rusty Faulk, Chief Executive Officer: My love of the outdoors was inspired at an early age by my brother in-law Rickey Pelham. In 1989, this love turned into a career when my wife Donna and I founded “Heart of Dixie Outdoors Bass Tournament”. This tournament was different as we competed on smaller waters. Anyone who had something that would float could participate and even win! These events lead to television appearances and a local TV program called “Heart of Dixie Outdoors with Rusty Faulk”. In 1992, I landed a job as host of “Good Morning Tri-States” which was a live program on one of the largest CBS affiliates in the southeast. From there, I launched “Rusty Faulk Outdoors” which has ran continuously for 18 years making it one of the longest running outdoor series in the country. Additional in 2007, in partnership with Comcast Sport South, we jointly launched “Talkin’ Outdoors with Rusty Faulk”. It was taped and aired during primetime Sunday nights for many seasons. Today I am CEO of Pursuit Channel, and feel like I have come full circle. After 21 years in the outdoor television business, I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly and it has given me a very unique insight on outdoor networks. A few years ago we lost my brother in-law to cancer, but I still remember what he would say when I suggested something pertaining to hunting not to his liken…He would say, “After 20 years in the woods I have been there and done that so you might want to try it this way”. That phrase “been there done that” rings close to home here at Pursuit Channel.

Stewart Thomas, Operations Manager: Being brought up in South Alabama, a love for the outdoors was instilled in me at an early age by my dad. That love for the outdoors eventually developed into a passion for hunting and fishing. Later in my life I started developing a new passion, for technology. I started my career in the IT Industry in 1999 working for a local ISP while attending Troy University. It was when I accepted a position a few years later as Network Administrator at Hicks Inc., a wholesale distributor of hunting, fishing, and other outdoor products that I came to know Merrill Sport. Merrill introduced me to Rusty, and we’ve been business associates and friends ever since. I’ve always wanted to be part of something big, and they helped me realize my dreams by asking me to join them here at Pursuit Channel. Working in this Industry allows me to take advantage of my background in Information Technology, learn something new every day, and renew my passion for the outdoors.

Merrill Sport, Co-Founder & Director:: I have always enjoyed hunting and fishing with my father and both of my grand fathers growing up. In my early years I worked as a paralegal as well as secretary, teller, and loan officer of our local bank when it was formed. During my college days I worked as a delivery boy and cleaned the warehouse @ Hicks, Inc. in Luverne. In 1983 I joined Bob May of the May Company and was the apprentice of the legendary Mike (Lew) Powers. After the May Company, I joined Carl Jackson & Frank Durden with JPBD & Associates, another industry sales rep organization. I then returned to the family business, Hicks, Inc. for approximately a 10 year run handling such responsibilities as Catalog, Flyers, Trade Shows, Key Dealer Programs, Sales Manager, & Buyer, before returning to the road once again with one of the finest Industry sales rep organizations known, Dunkin-Lewis of Birmingham, AL. In addition to all the above, I was the Executive Producer/Financial Director and Co-Founder of Rusty Faulk Outdoors in 1992 and this is where I met my partner, Rusty Faulk, and also later my Partner/Co-Founder of Pursuit in 2007! After the road with Dunkin-Lewis, I worked on some special programs again with Hicks for a brief period before leaving and accepting the position of Luverne Parks & Rec. Director, in 2005 and remained through the summer of 2007, at which time I had the blueprint ready to go for the Pursuit Channel. The Pursuit Channel hit the airways in May of 2008! Through all these Industry Opportunities as Sales Rep, Wholesaler, & Producer, and with over 30 years of experience in the Industry, I have a good understanding of the needs of the manufacturer’s and producers for an Industry Owned & Operated Outdoor Network. PURSUIT CHANNEL . . . IT’S A WAY OF LIFE!

Clint Norman, Quality Control Coordinator: I was born and raised right here in Alabama and grew up with a love of the outdoors, thanks to my father and older brother. After High School, I went to a 2 year Jr. College for a Forest Technician degree where I gained a great understanding about the woods and wildlife. After graduation I landed a job as a land and wildlife manager and I guided hunts for 5 years. My dream finally fell into place when I started filming hunts for Rusty Faulk Outdoors. As a field producer, cameraman, master editor and salesman I fully understand the challenges all producers face in trying to produce quality Television shows. I hope to grow old in this Hunting/Fishing industry that I love because every adventure is a new adventure in some way.

Dennis Presley, Vice President: Although Southern born and bred with a passion for the outdoors, Dennis spent too many early years of his career in the not-so-exciting business of industrial products. First as a Dupont Contractor for the Carolinas and Virginia, then as the North America Market Manager for Bekaert Fibre Technologies, a Belgian based steel company. Finally, and fortunately, Dennis was given the opportunity in 2001 to combine his “obsession” with the outdoors by joining the former Petersen’s Publishing Group out of Los Angeles, CA. As a Senior Account Manager for the Southeastern U.S., Dennis handled a base of major print advertisers for some of the industry’s most popular print publications like Guns & Ammo, Petersen’s Hunting and Petersen’s Bowhunting. The company was eventually acquired by New York based Primedia and Dennis’ introduction to the television advertising world followed soon after with Guns & Ammo TV and Petersen’s Hunting Adventures. The Petersen’s/Primedia experience took Dennis home to Tupelo, MS and reconnected him to an already familiar group of friends at Mossy Oak in West Point, MS. In 2007, Dennis became the Director of Media Sales for Mossy Oak handling all of the television and online ad sales for this iconic industry and consumer brand. In mid 2009, the Mossy Oak/Pursuit Channel relationship took form and the development of the MOOSE Media team began. Dennis currently serves as Vice President of MOOSE Media LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Haas Outdoors that handles the sponsorship sales for Mossy Oak Productions and the sales, marketing, and programming of the Pursuit Channel.

Tack Robinson, Producer Relations Account Executive: Tack Robinson started with Haas Outdoors in 1989 when Mossy Oak was just a small camo business cutting and sewing clothes together. He worked under the supervision of Ronnie “Cuz” Strickland in those early years as Strickland was Mossy Oak’s Public Relations Director. It was in the early 90s when Tack first was introduced to a video camera while working with Cuz traveling from hunting camp to hunting camp. Tack recalls, “Cuz seemed to always have a video camera with him and was constantly filming our guests during our media hunts. In those early days, the video that we captured was used as means to not only support our friends in the outdoor industry but an effective way to sell Mossy Oak.” It was then that Tack was introduced to filming hunts that eventually evolved into a field producer’s role working hand in hand with Cuz producing Mossy Oak’s Hunting the Country that debuted on TNN in 1995. Tack spent 10 years working within Mossy Oak Productions as a producer and then moved into a media sales role where he gained sales experience representing all of Mossy Oak’s television shows. Over the course of his tenure with Haas Outdoors, Tack has worked within all facets of Mossy Oak’s business and recently joined the MOOSE Media Division of Haas Outdoors as MOOSE serves as the official agency of record for Pursuit Channel. Tack is the father of 3 sons - Cole, Todd and Sam - and resides in Amory, MS. He spends many hours at ball fields when not on the job for MOOSE and will tell you that his favorite pastime is chasing critters with his kids.
